Update on the Bluegrass Water Rate Increase

In Februrary of 2023 Bluegrass water filed with the Kentucky Public Utilities Commission for a rate increase affecting The Homestead and Longview subdivisions. The Scott County Attorney and the Attorney General’s offices disputed the rate increase before the Public Utilities Commission. The case has concluded, a ruling has not been made. As many of you have been aware Bluegrass Water Utility Operating Company (Bluegrass Water) purchased the sewage treatment plant that services Homestead & Longview Subdivisions as well as other plants that service other subdivisions across Kentucky in 2019.
